About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of coarse, gluten-free oat flakes

  • 1/2 cup of walnuts, almonds or seeds of choice

  • 3 TBSP flax seed

  • 1 banana

  • 2 TBSP coconut oil

  • a few dates

  • pinch of salt

  • 2 tsp of spices of choice (cinnamon, ginger, cardamon etc)

  • optionally - 1 TBSP cocoa

  • optionally - chopped nuts, dried fruits or chocolate pieces

Preparation

  • preheat the oven to 180 degrees C

  • grind your flax seed in an electric coffee/spice grinder

  • slice dates into smaller pieces

  • place all ingredients, except the optional chunky additions, in a food processor

  • blend together until the dough is sticking together and you are able to shape it

  • optionally, add your chunky add-ons now, mix in by hand

  • then form 12 balls and place them on the cooking sheet

  • flatten them using a fork

  • bake in a hot oven with the thermo-circuit (the fan) on for 20 minutes

  • enjoy!!
